Do Revenge (2022): Movie Review

Plot: I'll do yours if you do mine.

A dethroned queen bee at a posh private high school strikes a secret deal with an unassuming new student to enact revenge on one another's enemies.

Review: The movie opens with Drea, a scholarship student who refuses to let the fact that she wasn't born into wealth stop her.

She becomes an outcast just in time for summer vacation as a result of a leaked sex tape.

In front of the entire school, she punches Max, a popular student with a wealthy parent, earning her a brief suspension.

She is therefore trapped working at a tennis camp while her former friends go on adventures across Europe.

Eleanor, a quiet, straightforward girl who will soon enroll at Drea's school Rosehill, joins her at the camp.

As they converse, they learn that each of them had a recent heartbreak.

They plan to aid one another in getting their vengeance by attacking each other's chosen victim.

A genuine friendship develops, but a troubling past secret hangs over them like a heaviness, giving Drea some perspective.

HITS: The movie is able to incorporate all of its influences into a unique film that is entirely committed to its portrayal of high school.
