Enola Holmes 2 (2022): Movie Review

Plot: The sequel is afoot!

Now a detective-for-hire like her infamous brother, Enola Holmes takes on her first official case to find a missing girl, as the sparks of a dangerous conspiracy ignite a mystery that requires the help of friends - and Sherlock himself - to unravel.

Review: Enola Holmes, played by Millie Bobby Brown, is back in the sequel, and she still charms audiences with her fierce resolve.

Enola takes on her first case as a hired investigator after Bessie Chapman's older sister Sarah goes missing.

As she continues her investigation, Enola starts to believe that Sarah's former employer, the Lyon Match Factory, is to blame because the girls there have been passing away from Typhus.

Sherlock is working on a case of his own, a financial fraud involving money moving between several institutions, but it's proving to be a difficult case to solve. Their paths eventually cross.

Enola's rooftop-jumping maneuvers in the movie are equally rapid. We receive surprises, coded love letters, and covert tests.

Enola herself experiences some growth as she begins to see that she might not need to handle everything by herself.

HITS: The background score perfectly complements the film's emotional beats, while the costumes and set designs are a visual feast. Enola pulls you by the hand and drags you along for her antics right from the opening scene.

NOTE: This is the sequel to the very first Enola holmes which was released in 2020.
