The Ghost (2022): Movie Review

Plot: An ex-Interpol officer wreaks havoc and sends shock waves across the global underworld but goes missing in action, only to remerge years later, for his beloved family.

Review: An ex-Interpol agent with anger management issues, Vikram is played by Nagarjuna. When his carelessness results in the death of a little boy who was on a rescue operation in Dubai, the guilt consumes him, and he tries to make amends by going after the underworld.

The narrative shortly jumps ahead five years, where we meet Vikram's sister Anu, who reconnects with him after 20 years.

The call brings him back to the place where the siblings were able to put their painful history behind them. Anu tells Vikram that she has been receiving life threats and that she doesn't want her daughter to suffer any harm.

In Dubai, when Vikram assumes responsibility for the family's safety, he runs across some men from his past.

Vikram got the name 'The Ghost' from what transpired in Dubai five years ago when Vikram vowed to eradicate the underworld and it became the story's central character

The film's closing 30 minutes, which are filled with bodies, blood, knives, and firearms, provide a much-needed change of pace that dominated the setup, and the pay-off is truly something to witness.
