"Nobody is self-made", Comedian Basketmouth appears to take a dig at Singer Peter Okoye of P-Square




Comedian Basketmouth has been slammed by Twitter users for his post that appears to take a dig at Peter Okoye. 



 


Peter, of the P-Square duo, had said during his fight with Seun Kuti, that his father was a nobody yet he made a name for himself.




 

He then asked Seun to drop the Kuti surname and see if anyone would know him.


 

 


Reacting, Basketmouth wrote: 



"If our fathers never existed we won't  be here. Nobody is self made."


 


"I'm just saying, Basketmouth added.





Basketmouth's tweet earned him criticisms from many of his followers who accused him of lacking comprehension.






Earlier on, singer, Brymo had also weighed into the fiasco as he slammed Peter Okoye of Psquare fame, for belittling Seun Kuti.





Chipping in, Brymo slammed Peter Okoye for undermining Seun Kuti. Defending Seun, he pointed out how Peter Okoye’s bragging about his status has belittled him.





Instigating beef, Brymo stated that he doubted the singer’s success as he belongs to sponsors





“Bros…you never delete?…you go keep this post wey trifle your pops, just cause it reads like you are self-made and he inherited fame?…that’s your point right?…this belittle yours. This is quite self serving, I doubt you own your successes, you belong to your sponsors?”.




Genesis of Seun Kuti and Peter Okoye drama:


The whole drama started after Seun Kuti threw a shade at Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, who he referred to as an opportunitist.





Peter Okoye, who is a proud supporter of Peter Obi, didn’t take his words likely, as he slammed him for disgracing his father.





Things escalated between the two, as they involved each other’s family into their social media battle.





While tackling Seun Kuti, and trying to score a point, Peter slammed Seun for profiting off his father’s name.





Bragging, Peter noted how his father was a nobody yet he made a name for himself, unlike, Kuti who is profiting off his father’s name.





“My late father was a nobody but today everyone knows the OKOYES! Dude try removing “KUTI” from you make make I know weda anybody sabi you!

Why Mohbad Neck Was Bent Inside Casket – Coffin Maker

Coffin Maker in charge of Mohbad coffin has finally revealed why the late singer’s neck was in a bent position inside the casket. Mohbad the “Peace” crooner died on September 12th 2023 and by extension was laid to rest on September 13th 2023 in Ikorodu, Lagos. Singer Wizkid’s Mother set for burial

Mrs Jane Dolapo Balogun, the late mother of superstar singer, Wizkid will be laid to rest on October 13, 2023. She died at around 1.30 a.m. on Friday, August 18th. However, the family of late Dolapo Balogun disclosed the details of her burial ceremony on Sunday, October, 8th. In a flyer seen on social media showed the funeral arrangements of the deceased who will have a wake keep and tribute night on Thursday, 12th October, 2023. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, 13th October at RCCG City of David, Victoria Island, Lagos. The deceased is survived by her husband Alhaji M.O Balogun; her four children, Yetunde Balogun, Omolara Balogun, Olubusayo Balogun, and Ayodeji Balogun, and her grandchildren. Two months after her death, the deceased is set to be buried in grand style as arrangements for her burial are already in top gear.
