Nigerian pop star Yemi Eberechi Alade has recounted how she survived a car accident in Spain. The "Johnny" hitmaker took to Instagram on Tuesday intimating that on August 17 she got involved in a car crash at around 12:06 pm somewhere between Barcelona and Benicassim. "I only lost a nail, it all happened suddenly," she wrote. "I also experienced a minor medical emergency from exhaustion after performing on stage 7 hours after the incident on the same day and somehow ended up at the after party." British-Nigerian singer Azeez Adeshina Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has urged youths to shun drug abuse. He said the side effects of substance abuse can never be overemphasised. The Marlian boss spoke during his visit to the chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brig Gen Mohamed Buba Marwa (retd.), on Thursday in Abuja. He said he joined the NDLEA’s War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) advocacy campaign to support the agency in its fight against drug abuse among youths in the country. Naira Marley said: “I would like to urge my fans, Marlians, and all the Nigerian youths, to stop doing drugs because it is not good for your wellbeing. Let’s all stop substance abuse in any form. “I have keyed into this campaign [War Against Drug Abuse] to support NDLEA to stop drug [abuse] in the streets. Drug abuse is really not good. It makes you go back to crimes. It does a lot of things to you.”

Nigerian actor Femi Adebayo has revealed why he sold his properties to produce the movie, ‘Jagun Jagun’ . The actor said he sold his properties when he ran out of funds because he believes the project would work out.     According to Adebayo, he sold some of his properties to produce ‘Jagun Jagun.’   In a recent interview, he said that the movie premiered on Netflix on August 10 is a multi-billion naira project.   The actor further said he used proceeds from ‘Agbeshinkole’, his previous film, to finance ‘Jagun Jagun’. “Jagun Jagun is a multi-billion-naira project and I cannot say the exact amount I spent on shooting it,” he said.   “I used the proceeds of Agbeshinkole to produce Jagun Jagun. Popular Nigerian comedian, Ayodeji Makun, widely known as AY, has reacted to the fire incident that engulfed his Lagos home on Sunday. A viral video, recorded by a social media user @Postsubman, shows that AY’s house was gutted by fire on Sunday. The roof of the storey-building was on fire. Reacting, many colleagues and fans of AY, including his younger brother and fashion designer, Yomi Casual sympathised with the comedian and his family.
