Veteran Nollywood actor, Zack Orji, is currently in a critical condition and has been taken to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the National Hospital, Abuja. The actor, who featured in numerous movies, was said to have felt ill a few weeks ago and collapsed in the toilet. According to report and the video circulating online, the 63-year-old actor was seen in bad state of health, making him unable to talk or walk. Upon arrival at the hospital, he underwent and continues to undergo a series of tests to determine the underlying issue. Family members have called for prayers on the ailing actor.

THE Nigerian street-pop artist Habeeb Badmus, aka Portable, was declared winner of the celebrity boxing fight against Nollywood actor, Charles Okocha, after fourth round on Wednesday. The fight, which was sanctioned by Heritage Boxing Entertainment, held at Landmark Beach in Victoria Island, Lagos State, started after 1am and lasted about 40 minutes. THE Ogun State Police Command has said an ammunition shell, not a bullet, hit popular Nollywood actor cum movie director, Azeez Ololade Ijaduade, on the neck. Naija News reported that Nollywood actor, Abiodun Adebanjo, in a post via Instagram, disclosed his colleague, Ijaduade, was battling for his life at the Babcock University Teaching Hospital after a trigger-happy policeman in Iperu, Ogun State shot at him. In a statement on Sunday, the state Police Public Relations officer, Odutola Omolola, said Ijaduade is in stable condition, and the Command has taken responsibility for the medical bills. Veteran Nollywood actor of the popular ‘Village Headmaster’ series, Dejumo Lewis has died. The veteran actor died at the age of 80. Actor Saidi Balogun announced the death in a post shared on his Instagram account on Saturday. Saidi, who shared the photo of the late veteran, wrote, “Good night DEJUMO LEWIS, may your soul rest in perfect peace. RIP.” Meanwhile, the specific details about Lewis’ passing remain undisclosed. But, Balogun’s tribute has ignited an outpouring of condolences from fans and other actors and actresses in the Nollywood industry. Lewis is a Nigerian film and television actor, famous for the Kabiyesi role in The Village Headmaster, Nigeria’s longest-running television soap opera shown on NTA from 1968 to 1988 that stared Justus Esiri and Femi Robinson and many others. THE Nigerian controversial singer, Habeeb Okikiola aka Portable, has stated that he must perform at the Celestial Church of God, Goshen Land Cathedral, in Lagos State, adding that he was paid N5 million for the performance. The church was recently under fire for inviting Portable and Fuji singer, Pasuma, to its praise night scheduled to hold on December 15, 2023. After public outrage, Celestial Church leader, Olatosho Oshoffa, in a Facebook post, announced that Portable and Pasuma would no longer be present at the occasion. Reacting to this, Portable, in a viral video, stated that he must perform at the church, adding that he was paid N5 million for his performance. Speaking in Yoruba, the singer said, “Celestial church we must do the show o, you have already paid me N5 million.
