Controversial singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has been arrested by the Nigeria Police. The Zazoo crooner was arrested on Friday after the 72-hour ultimatum given to him by the Ogun State police command expired. Recall that the singer was handed a 72-hour ultimatum by the police to report himself to the nearest police station after he was captured in a viral video resisting arrest by operatives of the force. The Ogun State Police Command spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed on Friday that Portable was arrested and currently being detained at the Command’s headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta. The PPRO disclosed that Portable was arrested after failing to honour five invitations. It was gathered that the singer will spend 72 hours in detention before he will be charged to court on Monday.

Nigerian comedian, Ganiyu Kehinde known as Ijoba Lande has broken silence on his whereabouts after going missing for four days, In the video that was released on Thursday via his Instagram, he claimed that he had left his home on his own free will, and had not been kidnapped. THE Lagos State Police Command has begun investigation into the death of Kambilichukwu, the son of popular actor, Yul Edochie. It was gathered that Edochie had reported the death of his son to the police and in the state The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who spoke with Daily Post confirmed the development on Friday saying the matter would be forwarded to the State Criminal Investigation Department today. Kambilichukwu, 16, died on Thursday morning after developing a seizure and was rushed to the Mother and Child Hospital in Lagos. Nigerian social media comedian, Ganiyu Kehinde popularly known as Ijoba Lande, has finally resurfaced after he was declared missing by his family on Tuesday, 28th of March. In a video posted on his Instagram page on Thursday, his colleague, Oluwatosin Ijesaekun explained that a lady who saw a post about him missing found him, called her friends and the news of his whereabouts was made known. Nollywood has been thrown into mourning following the death of 33-year-old actress Gbemi Anjola. The fast-rising actress died on Friday, March 24, 2023, after a prolonged battle with ovarian cancer. It was gathered that Gbemi was diagnosed with the ailment in 2021.  As a result, she traveled to Dubai, UAE, for chemotherapy, which lasted approximately 6 months. She returned to Nigeria cancer-free after receiving medical treatment in Dubai, but on Friday, March 25, 2023, Gbemi complained of memory loss and a headache and was rushed to the hospital. Sadly, she was pronounced dead by doctors on duty. The news of her tragic demise was shared by colleagues Itele and Zainab Balogun, who mourned her on their Instagram pages. Mick Slattery, the original guitarist, and co-founder of the rock band Hawkwind, has died at the age of 77. The band confirmed the news over the weekend, telling fans that Slattery had died the day prior, on March 17. The musician died at home following a short illness. The band, who recorded several tracks at Abbey Road Studios, are best known for their song Silver Machine. Nollywood actor and Deputy Governorship Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Funke Akindele, has deleted all campaign-related posts on her Instagram page after suffering electoral defeat. Checks revealed that the screen diva had deleted all political posts concerning herself and her principal, Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran better known as Jandor after they were defeated in the governorship election of Lagos State. Adediran and Akindele were the governorship and deputy governorship of the People’s Democratic Party in last Saturday’s election. Akindele’s action comes hours after the 2023 gubernatorial elections took place in Lagos. Actress Foluke Daramola appears to have given her reason for not supporting Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the Labour party's governorship candidate in Lagos state.    In an exchange with an Instagram user, Foluke claimed that her husband, Salako, gave Gbadebo the Lagos governorship ticket he used to run and that when Gbadebo got it, he removed Salako because he is not Igbo. She also alleged that Gbadebo took all the Yoruba House of Assembly tickets and replaced the candidates with Igbos.    Foluke's husband, Kayode Salako, resigned as chairman of Labour party in Lagos state in January 2023 to enable him to contest the seat of the Oshodi-Isolo Constituency 1 to the House of Representatives. Salako resigned six months after he was named the party’s chairperson in the state.

Hollywood actor, Lance Reddick, who got into the limelight after featuring in HBO's "The Wire" and the "John Wick" movie franchise, is dead.    Lance's body was discovered at his Studio City home Friday morning, March 18, around 9:30 AM. American gospel musician, Travis Greene has offered condolence to clergyman, Paul Adefarasin following the death of Chris Okafor, a drummer at his church.
