Controversial musician, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has declared himself police ambassador a few days after causing a stir while evading arrest by police officers. Portable made this known in a post on his Instagram page, where he shared photos of himself with his father and other high-ranking officers in the Lagos police headquarters on Tuesday evening. The Zazoo crooner regained his freedom the following day after being arrested for incurring a debt on the Mercedes Benz GLE he bought from a car dealer in Lagos. The singer further went to his social media page to explain what transpired between him and the car dealer, alleging that he had spent more than required on the vehicle because it was faulty. Meanwhile, reaffirming his relationship with the police, he announced that he is now a police ambassador while adopting the oft-used phrase – ‘Police is your friend’. THE Pathologist has told the coroner inquest that the cause of late music star, Ilerioluwa Aloba aka Mohbad’s death could not be ascertained, as the autopsy was conducted after his body had decomposed. This was revealed by Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Wahab shittu after the Coroner inquest sitting on Wednesday, in Lagos. Mohbad died at the age of 27, on September 12, 2023, with circumstances surrounding his death sparking controversies on social media. A former record label signee of Marlian Music owned by Naira Marley, Mohbad left the label in February 2022. The Lagos State Police Command had, on September 18, 2023, inaugurated a 13-man special investigation team to probe the singer’s death. His death also led to the arrest of Naira Marley and controversial Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry, among others. The singer’s body was on September 21, 2023, exhumed for autopsy.

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested popular musician Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable. Voice Air Media VAM News learnt that the controversial singer was nabbed on Tuesday following his alleged refusal to pay the debt he incurred when he purchased G-Wagon from a car dealer in the state. According to reports, Portable had paid only N13 million after purchasing the vehicle, which was worth N27 million. He was said to have refused to pay the N14 million balance. The car dealer reportedly took the matter to the police, leading to the arrest of the singer. Police react THE Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest. He simply said: “The report is true. He was arrested today.”

Reacting, Lege Miami cautioned the duo to put themselves in order, saying he has reported the issue to Seyi Tinubu. Speaking in a video message shared via his Instagram account, the actor said Tinubu has offered to reconcile Wizkid and Davido in the United Kingdom. He said, “Wizkid and Davido both of you need to take time. I have reported you guys to Seyi Tinubu, he said he’ll fly to UK in three days to settle the fight.” Efforts to reconcile Wizkid and Davido over the years have proved abortive, as the duo always rekindles their beef after every reconciliation.
