Famous singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has claimed that the Nigerian music industry has never been peaceful since he joined. Davido stated that he loves the chaos in the music industry. On his X handle on Sunday, the singer wrote: “Since I came in the game dem never get peace .. I love it ! Make I find somewhere with beach go relax.” The DMW boss has previously alleged that some of his colleagues in the music industry are ganging up against him. “Me vs the industry! Love it!,” he wrote via X in 2022. Davido announced his entry into the Nigerian music industry with ‘Back When’ and ‘Dami Duro’ the lead singles from his debut studio album, ‘Omo Baba Olowo’ (2012). Since then, he has risen to be one of the three leaders of the new school Afrobeats, alongside Wizkid and Burna Boy. Davido has stated in several interviews that he does not have a cordial relationship with Wizkid and Burna Boy.

Gospel Singer Morenikeji ‘Egbin Orun’ is Dead

Popular Nigerian gospel artist, Morenikeji Adeleke, popularly known as Egbin Orun, is dead. Confirming the development in an Instagram post, her colleague Esther Igbekele expressed her deep shock and sadness at Adeleke’s sudden death. VAM News reports that Igbekele described her as a “beautiful and kind-hearted woman” and a “very good supporter” of her gospel ministry. “We spoke together last week not knowing you are about to embark on a journey to the great beyond,” Igbekele shared in her post. Egbin Orun was beloved in the gospel music community not just for her soulful music but also for her strong support of fellow artists. Igbekele’s tribute reflects the personal and professional impact Adeleke had on those around her. “I am deeply saddened with your demise but God knows best. You will be greatly missed and your good deeds will continue to linger in our hearts,” Igbekele added. Davido Claims his family distribute electricity to most of Nigeria

  Singer, David Adeleke, aka Davido, recently made a bold claim that his family is responsible for distributing electricity to a major portion of Nigeria. According to him, his family owns four power plants, which significantly contribute to Nigeria’s energy needs. Appearing on an American podcast, ‘Business Untitled,’ Davido spoke on his family business and personal investments. He said, “I once tried to go into cryptocurrency because Nigeria is big on crypto. Apart from that, me and my family have like four power plants worth a lot of money. We distribute energy to most of Nigeria. “My wife is into culinary. We are trying to start a restaurant for her. But my main business is what I love; my music.” While Davido is from a wealthy family with investments in the energy sector, many observers will disagree with his claims that his family supplies most of Nigeria’s energy needs. Most of the major thermal and hydropower plants in Nigeria are owned by the government.

Crossdresser Bobrisky Sentenced to prison without fine over Naira abuse

  Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos has sentenced cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, to six months in jail with no option of fine.  The judgement was handed on Friday morning, April 12.   Recall that on April 5th, EFCC arraigned Bobrisky in court on a six-count charge ranging from Abuse of the Naira and Money laundering. The court, however, dismissed the money laundering charges but convicted him for Naira Abuse after he confessed to the crime. The court also ordered that he be remanded in EFCC detention in Lagos   The judge then adjourned hearing for judgement into the case to April 9. However, the court couldn't sit due to the April 9 to April 11 Eid-Fitri public holiday.

A worship leader, Funanani Mbedzi, has died after she was allegedly killed inside her church by her husband during the Easter celebration. According to South African police, the murder suspect entered the church in Makonde Shadani village, outside Thohoyandou, around 6 pm while the congregation was engaged in worship and shot at his wife multiple times. Limpopo SAPS spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba while confirming the incident, said the husband fled the scene after killing his partner. “While the motive behind this appalling incident remains unclear, domestic violence cannot be ruled out. The man handed himself over to the police yesterday after being on the run for two days.” According to Ledwaba, the suspect’s licensed firearm, believed to have been used to commit the crime, was confiscated during the arrest.

In a recent turn of events, Wunmi, who had previously expressed her willingness for a DNA test on her son, said she is no longer open to a DNA test on Liam. Speaking in an audio message making the rounds on X, Wunmi said only her late husband has the right to request a DNA test from her. She claimed that Mohbad disvirgined her and he is the only man she has ever known. Wunmi said: “Mohbad disvirgined me; nobody has the right to tell me to do a DNA test.
