Famous Nigerian singer David Adeleke, aka Davido, says he is now shifting his attention to his American dream, stressing that he has conquered Africa. The ‘OBO’ crooner said his goal is to collaborate with creatives across the globe. Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter, Kizz Daniel, found himself at the center of attention after trolls targeted his baby mama’s appearance, sparking his fiery response. The incident occurred shortly after the artist made their relationship public and introduced his partner to the world with a  public display of affection on social media. In a video that quickly went viral, Kizz Daniel and his baby mama joyfully sang along to his latest song, ‘TZA,’ as they shared their happiness with fans. However, as is often the case on social media, trolls seized the opportunity to criticize the woman’s physical appearance, claiming she wasn’t as attractive as expected. “She no even fine,” one troll commented. Unable to tolerate such negative comments, Kizz Daniel fired back with a sharp response, questioning the trolls own appearance and dismissing their opinion. He wrote, “Na you con fine? Nigerian gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo, will hold her first live concert in Lagos to mark this year’s Easter celebration. Afrobeat singer Davido has erroneously claimed that Nigeria has only three tribes, namely Yoruba, Igbo and Benin. Davido, who goofed while hosting popular American content creator Kai Cenat, who is in Nigeria for a documentary, yesterday in Lagos, said: “We have three tribes in Nigeria. There’s Yoruba. My father is Yoruba. And in Nigeria, wherever your father is from, that’s where you are really from. So my father is Yoruba. My wife is from Igbo. And my mother is from Benin. I’m three tribes in one.” Contrary to the Timeless singer’s claim, the National Bureau of Statistics revealed that there are 371 tribes in Nigeria, the majority of which are Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba.

Actress Rita Dominic has revealed why she took a break from acting to become a caregiver in London. She explained that she gave up stardom in 2001/2002 and moved to the United Kingdom because she was dealing with personal issues. She added that while in the UK, she started working as a caregiver for adults with special needs. Speaking at the recent Women of Valour International Women’s Day event in Accra, Ghana, Rita said that while some might view her job as a caregiver as a “step-down”, she didn’t because caring for others brought her joy and purpose. Afro singer Ibrahim Owodunni, also known as Primeboy, has been re-arrested by the Lagos State Police Command. THE Lagos State Magistrate Court sitting in Ikorodu is set to hear a suit filed by Joseph Aloba, the father of late singer Mohbad, seeking a DNA test for his grandson, Liam. This was made known in a statement signed by Monisola Odumosu, the head of the Aloba family’s legal team. The statement said; “A date has been fixed for mention of the application for a DNA test by the family of late singer Ilerioluwa Promise Oladimeji Aloba known as Mohbad, who died in an unusual circumstance on September 12, 2023. “All necessary legal apparatus are (sic) in place towards the success of the matter. Recalls that Israel and Sheila got married on October 20, 2022, in Benin City, Edo State. However, barely eight months after their lavish wedding, the couple parted ways over allegations of domestic violence and infidelity from both parties. Speaking in a recent interview with Daddy Freeze, Israel DMW opened up that his ex-wife was unhappy with his sexual performance.   Nollywood veteran, John Okafor AKA Mr Ibu has died. The actor reportedly passed away at Evercare Hospital in Lagos State after a protracted battle with illness. Recall that the 62-year old had battled health issues that led to the amputation of his two legs. He was diagnosed with diseased blood vessels. His family had solicited funds from Nigerians, saying the actor “had constant clotting of the blood in his leg [diseased blood vessels] and other health challenges posing a risk to his life, therefore the need for the amputation.”

A Nollywood actor, Tolani Quadri Oyebamiji, who is more popularly known as Sisi Quadri, has died. Sisi Quadri has passed on at the age of 44. His death was revealed by some of his colleagues in the Yoruba movie industry. Writing on her verified Instagram handle, actress Abiola Bayo said: “You will be greatly missed, Sisi Quadri.
