Spotify: Asake, Burna Boy, Davido, Most Streamed Singers

Popular Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade, aka Asake, has been ranked Nigeria’s most streamed artist of 2023 on Spotify. The streaming platform made the announcement in data published on Wednesday. Three of Asake’s songs appeared in the top 10 list of the most streamed tracks on Spotify in Nigeria. His ‘Lonely at the Top’ earned its place at the very top; ‘2:30’ finished fourth; and ‘Amapiano,’ with Olamide, finished 10th. On this year’s Spotify Wrapped for Nigeria, the Lonely at the Top star came first, while Burna Boy ranked second and Davido third. Seyi Vibez finished the year in fourth position on the chart, followed by Omah Lay in fifth, BNXN in sixth, Rema in seventh, Odumodublvck in eighth, Olamide in ninth, and Wizkid in 10th place. Toxicology on Singer Mohbad’s body ongoing

THE Lagos Coroner Court sitting at Ita-Elewa, Ikorodu on Wednesday, November 22, said that the most crucial aspect of an autopsy to determine the cause of death of late music star, Ilerioluwa (Promise) Aloba aka Mohbad, is being conducted in the United States of America (USA).   The Nation reports that the state counsel, O. Akinde told the Coroner Magistrate, Adetayo Shotobi, that the autopsy into the external body of the deceased has been completed.   “The toxicology test, which has to do with the internal body, is being done in the US,” he said   Akinde made this known following the insistence of other counsel to the father of the deceased, David Fadimu, that of TNKay Music Worldwide, David Nawoola, and representative of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Ikorodu, O.S.A. Aranmolaran.   The Coroner, Magistrate Shotobi, asked to know why the toxicology was taken abroad when there are toxicology laboratories in Nigeria.

According to Daily Mail, the complications from being bitten in the face by a spider led to the death of the 28-year-old singer. The self-acclaimed “African Giant” said he was aware that he had not settled any blog in Nigeria before. He called on bloggers in Nigeria to deliberate on a price and pass it to him to settle them to stop posting about him “totally.” On his X handle on Friday,  Burna Boy wrote, “How far. all these Instablog, PulseNg e.t.c, abeg make all of una do meeting then decide how much I go give all of una make una forget my name totally. I know say I never pay any of una before so I say make I just run am finally. I greet you bros!!” His post elicited mixed reactions, with some fans warning him that he would be “forgotten” if bloggers stopped carrying news about him.
