The End of the Road

Plot: There's no turning back.

Recently widowed mom Brenda fights to protect her family during a harrowing road trip when a murder and a missing bag of cash plunge them into danger.

Review: End of the Road is a riveting narrative that Shelton develops into a story about parenting, family, and surviving. It is really enjoyable and revitalizing.

The principal actress, Queen Latifah, plays Brenda, a widowed nurse who is also the mother of two devoted kids named Cam and Kelly.

Brenda finds herself in financial trouble and in need of a change after the death of her late spouse Jake. Brenda travels across the southwest with her brother Reggie to relocate her family from California to Houston, Texas.

The family is at a motel when they hear gunshots and see a man die right in front of them. In the midst of their efforts to save his life, Reggie spots a bag full of cash and snatches it.

Reggie is unaware that Mr. Cross, a vicious criminal who will do anything to reclaim his property, is the rightful owner of the bag full of cash.

Cross kidnaps Cam and then engages the kidnapper in a game of cat and mouse with Brenda.

Reggie and Kelly request Sheriff Hammers' assistance in the meanwhile to locate Brenda before Mr. Cross discovers them, but things might be trickier than they appear.

FLOPS: Every action set piece is hampered by too many jump cuts and continuity mistakes.
